Topics covered will include: conducting a self-assessment to identify your career strengths, designing a self-marketing campaign to sell yourself to companies, crafting an elevator pitch to introduce yourself to employers, knowing the importance of networking in the job-seeking process, writing a resume and biography that highlights your strengths, knowing the do's and don'ts of interviewing and know how to negotiate the best offer.

Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship Information Session

This session is designed to provide information on skilled trades & apprenticeships in Ontario.  Topics covered will include: skilled trade vs. apprenticeship, skilled trade sectors, apprenticeship legislation, trade designations, role of government, employer/training sponsor and in-class trainer, routes to becoming an apprentice and financial incentives for apprentice and employer.  This information session is for out-of-school youth and adults.
