Letter from the President

 

Dear All,

 

Time has come to meet again. Our first event of the year (and will not be the last) will be targeting Engineers on how they can obtain their accreditation in Ontario. As the month’s progress there will be others events supporting other professions and I look forward to each and every one of these. I hope to see you all there.


I have some special news to share with you and that is that a new board of directors is now leading the CCPA. These individuals are charged and full of energy looking forward on getting the association to move ahead. They have expressed to me their concern with Colombian professionals and their state in Canada. It is their number one priority to ensure that information for accreditations for all professions exist and are accessible. I am very pleased with their intentions and look forward to work with them and overcome the challenges we will face.


For the past couple of months we have been working hard defining the programs. I can ensure you we have now a clear and full agreement on the definitions of the programs that will support the current Colombian professionals in Canada and the ones soon to come. We will put all our efforts in expanding and growing the CCPA but could be much stronger with your assistance. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to become a member of the CCPA to voice suggestions, participate with new ideas, volunteering etc. Help us help you and help us help others.


Last, but not least, I want to take a brief moment and thank the previous administration for their efforts and their time. I can ensure you that we will work tirelessly to nurture some of the programs you have already put in place.


Once again I look forward in seeing you at our first event.
