Position: Network Engineer

Reports To:Manager, Network & Infrastructure

Location: Mississauga YYZ

Shift Days/Hours:Mon - Fri - Rotating shift

Primary Objective of the Position:

To support network and users

Essential Position Functions:

·Perform installs, configuration, and system administration in a Windows 2000/Citrix MetaFrame XP-Nfuse server environment. Support and sustain Microsoft Windows 2000 , NT and Active Directory domains, Group Policy,SMS system and Trend micro anti-virus systems for servers.

·Installation, configuration & replication of MS Exchange 2000

·Assist with SQL 2000 Server installation, maintenance & replication.

·Install, configure & maintain Borderware Firewalls

·Install, configure DNS servers internal & external

·Install and configure ISA server & Surf Control application

·Maintain and troubleshoot applications, systems, and infrastructure as well as offer complete support to end-users in the use of Computer technology. Assist help desk and desktop teams with user and technical support. Secondary duties include management of systems user accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

·Must have experience with installs, configuration, and system administration in a Citrix MetaFrame XP/Nfuse/ in a Windows 2000 server environment. Citrix certification a plus

·Must have 4+ years experience Windows 2000 and NT server experience and MS Exchange 2000.

·Experience maintaining and troubleshooting applications, systems, infrastructure, and supporting end-users in the use of Computer technology.

·Remedy, SQL and networking experience is a plus.

·Five or more years of hands-on experience administering Windows NT/95/98/ 2000 /XP, Microsoft Office Suite and PC hardware.

·Experience administering Borderware Firewall in LAN/VPN environment with a strong TCP/IP background a strong plus.

·MCSE certification ideal.

·Borderware Firewall Certified desirable.

·HP/Compaq Accredited Systems Engineer certifications are a strong plus.

·Must have access to a vehicle / traveling will be required.
